tags,. pic out parts of the picture to be links... thus the buildings... :wink:


Also,. another added idea would have 2 picures, one day and one night.. then use JS to return the browsers time and load the correct one... :roll:

I always thought a simulated browser like thing would be neat... when you just wanted to have fun, insted of URL's/Press enter and your are there, the URL's would be made streets to drive down in super-exotic cars, space ship type things, ect....

Basicaly make the internet one huge online adventure game.... :king:

I guess this means adult sites would have Vegas-like streets? :lol:

The sites would be buildings, (Varying in size, (10 page site = 10 story building)) and you couldn't see the contents until you entered... Titles placed on the front, with a description board in front so you know which ones you want to enter and explore....

I'm working on Link Town to make it simi 3D...

But, this 3D browser Idea? Wounder what that would take? OpenGL <- Given.. SDL_Net (or any other) <- Given... Crazy search program that returned info so it could generate streets and buildings... <- Um? lol

well...you'd have to integrate http/java/phpbb somehow....and maybe you could make up your own type so it worked that if someone wanted to make a site for your browser, they could and it would be 3d, but for normal sites, you could just have some default way of putting the stuff in the room...

The parsers wouldn't be hard,.. what to do with that info,.. to the best creative idea wins... :lol: ...

Way I figured the idea to work as a whole: The engine searched sites, then from that generate streets, then buildings... You ofcourse can walk in this 3D environment or use a tranportation device... (Even pick what your character looks like and enter act with other ppl online)... SItes are buildings you can walk into, Pages to the site are devided into stories (Floor 1: Main Page, Floor 2: whatever, ect)

How the pages are rendered, that be interesting for sure,.. Favorites would work like "Beam me up, Scotty!", you use a GUI to take you to the correct street of the site.. Links from one site to another would work the same....

Then,.. as Deleter pointed out,.. a new web language can be made for those who want to customize how there site looks 3D....
