TCP/IP

Quote:*sigh*

here we go.

whatever dude. If you honestly think you're making an OS, you can go ahead with it. As far as browsing the net in QB, I suggest you see if you can correctly display an HTML file, with the table structure and GIFs loaded correctly before you worry about actually doing TCP/IP stuff.

If all you want to do is network access for a game, use IPX.

I haven't seen any unpolite posts in this thread. Mine was kinda explanatory, without any offense, just to clarify things in case you didn't know the difference between an OS and a SHELL. Toonski's just pointed you to those libs, and Wiz's pointed out that rendering an HTML document is very difficult, and that you should begin working on that basic stuff prior to think about using the internet.

This forum is as friendly as it has always been.

About TCP/IP, the only way to access it is using a library that interfaces with WIndows (kinda DS4QB) as toonski pointed out. Your shell works in pure DOS (I visited your web some months ago and it said that you had to make a bootable diskette to run OS1) so it won't be able to access the DSOCK library... Hard stuff Sad
