Kiz, Thanks for the flattery. The girl getting part is tough 'cause I tend to get stopped when they call me "sir". Big Grin

If I wanted I could program for commercial companies. It's just that most focus on different things than I'm interested in or require me to stay for a longer period of time.

And yes Moneo is one of the great oracles around here. At least that's how I see him Smile And still after girls eh? Tongue

Wow, Neo, thanks. I really appreciate your high opinion of me. Well let me tell you that I also have a very high opinion of your ability as a programmer and an honored, respected member of this forum. Several times you have been the winner of challenges that I posted. I still keep as examples, at least half a dozen solutions that you have submitted.

Regarding programming for commercial companies, I suggest that you accept some of this work in order to gain some additional experience. Even though some of these applications may not be your favorite stuff, I'm sure you will find parts that are challenging, and you'll get a chance to learn new things. Try offering your services on a part-time basis so that you don't have to devote too much time.

Mystik, Thanks alot for your very kind words! Golly, this is really my day. Big Grin Professional programmers are offering me all kinds of recognition. What can I say, I have a lump in my throat.

Just the other day I was reading the memoirs of George Trimble, one of the computer industry giants whose accomplisments go back to working on the ENIAC back in 1949. I had the honor of working with George back in the 60's. He's now retired, writing the history of computers. I keep in touch with him via email. Based on something he said last week, I'm now contemplating writing my memoirs also. When I get around to it, I'll certainly send you a copy, Mystik. For an autographed copy, I'll need your mailing address. Send it to: moneo@prodigy.net.mx
