I highly doubt Rel was engaged in high-profile pirating from a pay-by-the-hour internet cafe. It costs less to buy movies over there than it does to sit in an internet cafe long enough to download them.

He's probably busy with his wife, kid, and two jobs. Let him have a month off, will ya? Smile

Quote:look at http://www.thepiratebay.org/ , hundreds of people download from it each day, it has even gotten threats from microsoft, apple, id, and other orginizations, but they don't do anything...
Piratebay doesent hos any downloads, it simply host directions to downloads..

It's not illegal to tell people that they can rob a bank.. if they want to..

You can rob a bank.. if you want..

Eh, close enough... Its kind of funny reading their 'legal threats'' e-mails, though.

They are hosting the torrent files. People can still be taken to court for that, apart from the pirate bay of course, because they are Swedish. Woo, go Swedish law ;D

In this case.. "People" refer to americans, and in some cases, apparently brittons.. However, in common talk, people refer to sane human beings.. not inbreed-redneck-hippie-gunntoothing-crazy-things..

Did I mention sweden pwns all other nations over and over?

Quote:I haven't seen him online for a while. He was going to contact me on Saturday to make plans for a FB project, but that was like two or three weeks ago, and I haven't heard from him since. Last time I talked to him, he said something about the authorities raiding houses over there in search of illegal software. I was just wondering if anyone knows anything. :???:

Nah, The problem this time is more of "familial" in nature. Actually not mine but my wife's family. Helping there to get things right both legally and morally.

Just lost my part time job because of this too. :*(

But I'll be back next week when my Father-in-law returns from another province.

Thanks for the concern guys.

you got it right on the wife and kid part. The job part? I only salvaged one. :*(

Damn greedy son-in-law!! (The other some-in-law)

Thought I would be absent for a day or two. Took me 4 weeks and counting. It felt like a year!

Whoaa!! Florida was hit by another calamity? Are your folks okay?

Be back permanently next week.
