Has anyone heard from Rel?
#1
I haven't seen him online for a while. He was going to contact me on Saturday to make plans for a FB project, but that was like two or three weeks ago, and I haven't heard from him since. Last time I talked to him, he said something about the authorities raiding houses over there in search of illegal software. I was just wondering if anyone knows anything. :???:

To Dr. Davenstein, Jocke the Beast, and KiZ:

I do not even know what happened to him myself either. Sad I *sure* hope that he is alright as well. I mean, the last release of his in FB that I know of was the recent update of his Space Impakto demo that has Scale2X implementations currently installed in a 640x480 graphics resolution in 8-bit mode ( Cool ! ). That is what I do remember, people, since he had frequently brought out a lot of OUTSTANDING demos in both QB and FB over the years — remember that “Mono and Disco” demo in QB? THAT was awesome as well!!! d=Big Grin=b

Right now, I and the rest of us will hopefully look forward to hearing from Rel again soon, and hopefully he will pump out some more phenomenal stuff once again, as usual. Wink See you all again as we start expecting on all of that!

Well, Rel doesn't have a home computer, as he's said to me many times - he uses one at a local net-café

he may have put some "illegal" software on one of those computers, but i'd like to htink that he would partially clean his tracks when he leaves.....or burns it onto a CD or something.....he doesn't strike me as a "sloppy" person when it comes to computers.

He's probably busy with work....or maybe his daughter is sick.....or wife....or himself

He does have a good computer now. My wife bought me a new computer last Christmas, so I gave my old one to him. It had a legal copy of WinME, but he wanted to install Win98/XP, which might have been warez. Also, I shipped one CD that had a few program copies on it, but I doubt if anything would come of that. I just hope they didn't start watching him because he got a package from another country or something. I know the system is pretty corrupt over there. Not that it's any better here.

Many foreign countries are a lot more strict on those things (and many are more lenient) than the U.S.
