You're talking about a government, not a country. Not that it matters, but I think many people have the wrong idea about how american society is.

ive gotta agree wit this guy..

im an american. i say this cringingly, because look at the man that we elected (and somehow ive met quite a few people who still believe it was the right thing to do)...

but its true. the rights i have are pretty good. i just hope the ones i actually care about dont change any time soon.

however, i keep straying from the point. i AM an american. i do not need a gun, i do not want a gun. i have the freedon to choose most aspects of my life. i do NOT GIVE A DAMN about iraq, or terrorism. i think its a waste of american money. i dont know anyone who ever talks about this situation. well except me when i see it on the news sometimes and wanna rant about how they are wasting my precious time.

most americans live their lives only caring about themselves and their own crap. thats how i am and will be probably.

The money doesn't head into the void. That money goes so the folks in Littleton Colorado can build things that kill people. That money goes to a million little towns whose names start with "fort" who have military bases for some reason. The whole culture ends up being affected.

Do you know where the trench coat was popularized? The zippo lighter? The Ace of Spades as a symbol? War. War. War. It permeates your culture. You don't have to care about Iraq or terrorism or whatever piddling little third world backwater you're spending your great great grandchildrens money to destroy this week, because it's everywhere, unavoidable.

That's why Vash is my role model. I will continue to save the spiders and the butterflies, because in the end, it's the only way to save everyone, which is ironically the only way to save ANYONE.

Those American items you listed may have resulted from war, however not the current "war". Previous wars American had participated in were real, and worth noting. Anything that came of them should be kept with American culture or history.

However, the current "war" America is fighting is nothing more than a greedy man's agenda gone too far.

PS - your country is called U.S.A., not America
