Personally I like the idea of advertising because you're basically mooching off of other people's websites to generate revenue for YOUR website, which then in turn the website who's advertising must be advertised on, and thus the circle of internetical life continues. It's quite beautiful :')

One night I had a dream where I was breaking balls. The next morning, BALLSBREAKER was born. Quote: Excellent. Now you can have things without paying for them. BALLSBREAKER 2 ~-_-Status Report-_-~ Engine: 94% Graphics: 95% Sound: 100% A Severe Error has crippled BB2 for the time being... I have to figure it out, but until then you won't see much of it . -----------------------------

Quote:actually, sumo shits money. Unfortunately, it's only 50 cent pieces and boy are they hard to pass. Right now, we don't make too much off advertising. We're still working on finding the perfect way to offset hosting costs without being too intrusive to the users. We don't want to be covered with ads (*cough imageshack cough*) but we can't move to our dream server until we have a better way of generating the income. All in all, most months it comes out of my pocket.

With Google's adsense I'm pretty sure you can prevent some sites from showing up.
