Leaving it all behind

Quote:Well, I've locked it down now, but a few scripts broke in the process (insecure stuff and just generally boneheaded coding on the part of some of our clients).

I got that on one of my forums. I just reinstalled the thing and the problem was fixed. All you should have to do is reupload any scripts you have that are causing problems. If that doesn't fix it, let me know and give me DETAILS (not just "uhh...it dun werk") and I'll see what I can do.

I can honestly say I have been there. The difference between how I view coding now and how I did years ago (when I last did it) is that now I view it as a hobby. I aim to create only what has a purpose. Meaning, I don't code just to learn anymore. I don't make stupid scripts in PHP or programs in QB that do nothing but teach me something. Rather, I code because I have a goal. And it is inevitable that I will learn things along the way, but that is not the reason I code anymore. This is why I do not make websites anymore, or demos to show something that I *could* do, but won't. I am committing myself now to a project. The second thing different about me now is that I have my priorities straightened out. I have my family first, school second, and hobbies (coding, etc.) after all these. Of course, eating vegetables is at the end of the list so I won't be doing that for many years to come Wink

Might I also suggest that you come on MSN more often now?
