Quote:(sorry, but this is the first time that I've read someone call "document" to a BAS file)

Well, .bas files can be saved as binary or text. I consider anything that can be opened with notepad and read, a document file. I really don't even see the point in saving in binary, cause it's not like i routinely write 80,000 line progs in QB Wink and, also, if you save as binary, then some1 with QB 1.1 can't even read it. I say save textually!!!

Lol I am such a numbnutz.

The file was written with ADVBAS routines, which is why you had trouble with the FileExist routine, cha0s.

Lemme see if I can find a link to it someplace...

*peace*

Meg.

On a related (or possibly entirely divergent) note, I was wondering if there is any easy way (like having it explained on a page full of code examples (wishful thinking, I know)) to have multiple-modem contact in QB? As in, having three or so people dial up to one modem? I know that this is... mechanically impossible (at least with what I know (not much) at the moment) but I was wondering if anyone had come up with An-Ingenious-Workaround ™... I mean, how do ISPs do it? Surely they don't have thousands of phone lines...
