The file was written with ADVBAS routines, which is why you had trouble with the FileExist routine, cha0s. Lemme see if I can find a link to it someplace... *peace* Meg.

On a related (or possibly entirely divergent) note, I was wondering if there is any easy way (like having it explained on a page full of code examples (wishful thinking, I know)) to have multiple-modem contact in QB? As in, having three or so people dial up to one modem? I know that this is... mechanically impossible (at least with what I know (not much) at the moment) but I was wondering if anyone had come up with An-Ingenious-Workaround ™... I mean, how do ISPs do it? Surely they don't have thousands of phone lines...
