Hm...Rockuman, make an image, 100x25 pixels, with black text in the middle called Foozle Page, in Times New Roman, 17 pt, in the center of the picture.
Make the background transparent, and then email it over to admin@thegeekery.org.
I want to see this for myself...I'm quite dim, I just discovered that.

.PSD lets you reopen things in Photoshop, and edit the layers again, etc., right?

I dunno..I tried googling for Photoshop 7 tutorials, and just came up with tutorials on how to make your own gradients and stuf...no crash course for beginners.

My experience with Photoshop was like my experience with all the programs I use: I install it, open it and begin peeking and poking. No tuts needed, you just try to think what could be done and try it. You just (for fun) open the menus and look at the stuff they have, and try to understand how they work. If you need to do something in concrete and you can't figure out how, ask
For example, I needed Photoshop to colour some comics some years ago, so I installed Photoshop 5 and began to figure out how could I do that to achieve the best results. Two days later, I had my own technique that I've taught to many people.
The same with ACID, Cool Edit pro, or even that ol' QBASIC.EXE which came in C:\DOS back in 1993 in my 486
