I dunno, I'm a big fan olf Folk music. Simon & Garfunkle, Chris de Burgh, ABBA, etc.

So, I guess I'm into late 60's early 70's even if I'm a product of the late 70's.
Life is like a box of chocolates', hrm, WTF, no it isn't, more like, 'life is like a steaming pile of horse crap.'

Ugh!

The 70s and 80s were a waste of time. The 60s was only good because of Jimi Hendrix and various Motown artists.

Quote:Eminem? I'm sorry, but Eminem is the most idiotic mass of suicidal, depressing, jump-off-the-bridge, kill-all-the-women, snort-crack attitude...packed into one excuse of a human being.
I couldn't agree more. Big Grin

I personally listen to a wide variety of music, from back in the 50s up to the present day. However, I have always been a metalhead...and especially for metal music of the early 90s and throughout that decade. And I'm not talking sissy bands like Pantera and Alive In Chains, I'm talking serious metal music like Nile and Killing Addiction. The stuff you never got to hear on the radio because it was "too extreme". The black metal movement of the 90s in Scandinavia was also a huge love of mine, and I was the first to introduce the sleepy city of Burlington Vermont to the likes of Dark Throne, Emperor, Dimmu Borgir, Cradle Of Filth (OK they're British, but still), Lord Belial, etc. on live radio. None of the other DJs at the station, even the metal DJs, would touch Scandinavian black metal because it was far more extreme than even they could handle. My radio show, aptly named "Satan's Meatwagon", was a tremendous success in its two-year run because I took the gloves off and gave the area the most brutal radio it's ever experienced. And I've noticed that even now that I'm not there anymore, no one's ever bothered to try it again.

One night, before my show was to go on, the DJ before me who did a progressive show asked me to give him the most brutal song I could think of off the top of my head. I went to the rack and grabbed "Mortician", and told him to play a song called "Hacked Up For Barbecue". It starts out with a few minutes of a woman screaming in fear and pain, and then getting chopped to shreds with a chainsaw...then the ear-bleeding music begins. The song was such a shock to the area during that time-frame that an old lady literally drove her car off the road in fear and then called the station, screaming in fits of rage. That's when we knew we had given the little city the proverbial kick-in-the-ass it needed. Big Grin

Anyways...sorry for going off on a tangent, but this poll closed before I could vote on it and it seems to be active again so....meh, I like to ramble. Sue me. Big Grin

eminem is just a pile of corporate scum. His recording company thought that violence, hate, sexism, homophobism, razism would sell... And it did. I absolutely hate his behaviour, his attitude and his music the most.

Nowadays Rap does not exist. Hip Hop has became commercial rubbish.

As much as I dislike Eminem's stupid punk ass, I dislike juvenile "women are important too" babble even more. Sad No one is important in this world. We're all just here.

If Enimem hates women so much, why does he keep trying to be with one? Why doesn't he just become gay? Oh yeah, that's right...because being gay is no longer popular in the USA. Its popularity died out when Clinton left office. Now it's far more popular to be some kind of extremist dickhead. Like so many others...Eminem is simply a puppet of the current American society.

Considering the fact that most of his songs were not written by him, I'd have to say that whoever wrote them has got serious issues...or is really playing the public for a tremendous fool. Eminem himself is, like I said before, just a puppet. The record label pulls the strings, Eminem raises his arms or opens that smelly orifice some people call his mouth.

And say what you want about having a rough childhood...I could sink your ship and rock your world talking about how bad my childhood was, but you don't see me making a martyr out of myself because of it. I could tell you things about my own life that would make Eminem's babble sound like a walk in the park with a well-trained poodle. But there's no need for dwelling on the past, and I think anyone who tries to exploit that just to make money is a true creep.

By the way...lemons are great. Big Grin
