The spanish government affirms it has been ETA, because it will give them more votes on sunday elections...This sucks!

The truth is probably the police is still working on it. If clues happen to point to AlQuaeda we will not be informed until monday .

Countries/politicians around the world <says how horrible this is
(I can't find the right phrase)>
I hate that stuff, the words seem so empty, "Our thoughts go to..."
Urgh They should do something instead...

According to to the news in Sweden: More and more things points
to al qaeda (sp?), and if that's true more countries are threatened...

Antoni, Al Qaida has made the 11/09. On the 16th of November, an islamist group has blasted the AZF chemical factory in Toulouse (France). This is not the official version, but the french secret services knew it from the beginning (I have my sources there). Last month, a group called AZF has warned the french government that some bombs would be placed in the TGV (TGV is the high speed french train, capable of 500 km/h speeds). A few weeks later, suburb trains explode in Madrid. The spanish government (this morning news) knew about the islamist revendication. They kept the news hidden, juts to let the ETA express freely about the event, until yesterdy around 9 PM local time when the letter of Al Qaida was published.

Be realist: Al Qaida wants to make Spain pay for their support to the US in Irak.

I'm convinced it has been Al Qaeda. But the government will insist on blaming ETA until monday , for electoral reasons.
No one wanted to support the Irak war here, only the government.
Even Bush Senior mentioned Barcelona as one of the more anti-war places in the world. Also Spain has been for years the occidental country with the best image in the arab countries. I'm afraid whe have lost this consideration.

The government will probably lose these elections after this. If the terrorist groups could only make the diference between the people and the governments...

Do you remember this verse by Sting "I hope russians love their children too..." ?

It would be nice if the spanish people could publish an official communiqué, saying they do not aggree with the government policy...

Can your king do something like that ?

I think I'm just dreaming...

Nah. People went to the streets to protest against war. We were not listened. That's the flaw of democracy: absolute majority, i.e. you can do whatever you want.

And now the same. After the attack, all the ministers and the president blamed ETA without having actual clues. They're gonna lose LOTS of votes if the terror attack has been done by Al Qaeda, that's why Antoni and me know really well that we won't know it until Monday, the day after the elections.

I learnt about the Al Qaida letter on Yahoo.com, 12 minutes after Reuters published it, ie around 9PM.

On the french news: on Arte, 7:45PM, the ETA was clearly not the source of the bombs. At 8PM, the ETA was the source. At 8:30, they said something new had been published, that focused the investigations on the islam track. At 9 PM, Reuters has published the Al Qaida letter, and it was posted on Yahoo.com, and simultaneaously on the spanish Yahoo (I had a hardtime reading it in spanish, but it's feasible when you speak french).

People are not stupid, they now your prime minister has made a huge mistake by following Bush. They will not believe the official lies, especially if the government refuses to listen to the people. I'm not sue people like you, Nathan, or Antoni, are representative of the public opinion in Spain. But you are certainly not alone...

As for me, I refuse to believe the ETA hypothesis, and I'm one of the rare people who unveil the truth about the AZF blast in Toulouse (ie an islamist action two months after the 11/09). A lot of people in France have made the link between the AZF threat to put bombs in the TGV and what happened in Madrid yesterday.

Al Qaida is not the islam, as well as your government is not Spain. We are all human beings who will, for the main part of us, refuse any form of violence. Let's behave like human beings.

The only thing we must hate is hate...
