IE provider? What is that?
Anyways, i'm sure no one here likes to see someone spend $29 a month for a browser, but hey, your choice. I just think it's utterly senseless with all the good and FREE browsers out there, which would only take about 10 minutes of your time to go check out.

no kidding. I mean, think of all of the great stuff you could do for $30 a month! For example, you could give it to me...

They dont "provide" IE. IE is assrammed into Windows. In fact, msn has its own browser similar to AOL, MSN explorer. Windows XP brings a copy of it. Afaik, Earthlink is just an ISP, they dont provide a browser of any kind, just like telephone company isps and local ones. They just provide the connection, nothing else.

Well, if a certain registry key is set (some ISPs do this), the IE title bar has the text "Microsoft Internet Explorer provided by xyz corp" appended to it (or whatever the reg key says, of course.) Maybe that's the source of the confusion. Plus, anyone can write a quick-and-dirty browser with the WebBrowser control that uses the IE rendering engine in about 5 minutes.
