@TBBQ- i wasnt guessing that zack used a bad pencil. he actually said that his eraser didnt work very well. anyways, its ok to blame a pencil for a bad drawing(im not talking about yours zack, because yours isnt bad at all.) when the eraser can destroy it just by using it. one time i had a pencil and its eraser was like a red crayon and ended up destroying 2 worksheets, one of them being a math test.
anyways, cool reply. 8)

When you draw the hair, draw your individual lines in the direction that the hair is going. So if the hair is in a downward direction, use downward strokes, not upward or sideways strokes. If the hair curves a certian way, draw curves in the direction the hair is going. Practice on making smooth lines instead of scribble. Alot of what makes something look good is how smooth and clean you can make it look.

Also, just about every feature on the face follows some type of curve. The outline of the face will look better if it follows a general curve. That's why alot of things look better when people start with an oval. However, some faces are squarish and bulky. Since I don't see the picture you are drawing from, it's a little hard to give advice.

Remember, think geometry and try to sort things into basic shapes as you draw them.

Overall, it looks alright. And if you are going for that newsweek style, you are right on track. Wink
