If you right click the executable, choose 'properties' there is a memory tab that includes xms options on there, with the default set to zero for some reason. It'll create a .pif file in the same folder as the exe. If you package that .pif file with your program windows shouldn't have any problems running it.

It should normally be set to "Auto", unless your _default.pif is already set to 0. Then again...XP does a lot of dumb things when it comes to the MSDOS VM.
I'd knock on wood, but my desk is particle board.

In every nt windows I've used and installed (pro, xp, 2k) it's always set the xms to zero and ems to auto. When on auto, the ems goes to zero.

That's weird...I've always had different results than that, be it XP, 2000, or NT4 Workstation. Oh well.

Since doc is a lil incomplete. You can ask me about how to use XMSPut(as if it's not easy) here:

I can't get it to work in PDS 71, it keeps telling me that the QLB is in an unknown format.
I have tried relinking it. (LIB->QLB)
But I couldn't rebuild it entirely, as there seem to be some problem with the obj files? (OBJ->LIB->QLB)

Hrm... just for fun, I tried relinking the library and rebuilding the examples (with QB 4.5, of course). One of the example programs induced the linker into spilling a big dump of the BRUN45 library and complaining about fixup overflows or something... blargh. Then the RelCollide example seemed to not work correctly... I'm probably just linking the wrong things for the library or something. Are all the OBJs included with the lib supposed to be linked in? I just wrote a batch file to LIB everything together and then compile and link all of the example programs. I can show you the results if that's helpful...

Hey Rel, you ever thought of extracting the .OBJs from BRUNxx.LIB, and putting superput in there to save memory in QB?
Or hell, just slap in Rellib in general and take out all the useless crap like 'PLAY' for space.
