Nothing wrong with it? Umm...okay...
-the executable is huge
-uses 15% more CPU time than the average MMP
-despite this extra CPU usage, none of it is being used for buffer overrun checking
-integrated networking allows exploitation resulting from previous point
-plugins you don't need are very hard/impossible to remove without breaking something
-DMRA assrammed into the player in the latest versions
-exceptionally dodgy license, which gives Microsoft legal right to scan your hard drive for what they consider "illegal materials"...it's true kids, this isn't paranoia...read their full license sometime
you'll find the same stipulations in the latest releases of MSN Messenger
Anyways...

Hi Oz, good to see someone taking up tracking. I just loaded your tune in MPT. The first thing I notice is you seem to take a sequencer approach to tracking. (Probably because you used a sequencer before, like Cubase or anything like that.) Don't use one track for only one instrument. In trackers you can use one track for as many instruments you want
That allows for some nifty techniques you can see in more advanced tunes.
Then: don't use GM.DLS. Download samples, rip them from other mods, make your own, whatever. Unless you want your tunes to sound like General MIDI. There are some OK sample packs here:

Happy tracking!

I just use seperate channels for insturments, coz its organized...im aware of some of the cool effects I can acheive.....but I'm going to simplistic music - not for special effects
