All About FreeBasic Documentation
#41
Nexinarius and I are making something different. If I had the time, I'd help finish his, and it's a great little overview, but I'm looking to create a detailed, official documentation, and it simply can't be done with his mysql backend. It would also require rewriting a lot of his documentation, and that wouldn't be fair to him.

Seems that I have absolutely no idea of what you have in mind...

For me a documentation always was the sum of information someone could have about an issue in a concrete structure and form. And that this has to change when/if/while the subject changes...also that it has to start with some information that are available...

So I will wait what the project will bring and maybe understand then, what I don´t now....

Hi maybe I'm too dumb, but I'm unable to find url where I can view current resulting HTML documentation. And my second question is: Wouldn't some wiki system be better than xml hacking, it' lot simple and faster to work with, might encourage more people to work with? Maybe it could be transformed to xml later.

Well, you can find a documentation guide and examples on the CVS.

But I don't want to read xml at CVS, I want to see resulting xhtml/whatever from that xml. Is there set up some script on sf project to see current transpormation results?

I think Jofers was going to hold off on writing the XSLT converters until the exact format of the documentation was nailed down.

No, I'm holding off on that because I'm lazy and stressed. =D

If you would like to help make a quick xslt to convert it to an xhtml format we can see, that'd be bloody awesome. Until I have some time, though, you're out of luck, xml's teh only thing you can see it in.

If you're looking for actual completed documentation, nexinarius has a great little keyword reference on freebasic.net

I have an ancient XSLT file that I wrote a long time ago; I'll see if I can rewrite it to use the newer documentation schema and translate the docs that are available now.

How is it possible to move files from one folder to another with tortoise cvs?

Tried to cut n paste and add the file again, but that only duplicated the file...
