You need to download the AllegroGL which is the interface between allegro and OpenGL. Just go to http://www.allegro.cc and skim thru' the site for a link to the AllegroGL site.

Actually I'm pretty sure he meant Turing. Turing is a crappy language that is like a mix between C/C++/Pascal and BASIC. It is meant to be a beginners language. For the most part, any program you write in the DOS version will run in the Windows version and vice-versa. The only thing the Windows version has over the DOS version I think is a lack of a 640k memory barrier and better OOP support. Yes, that's right, the only advantage. The Windows version can't even make proper windows, command buttons, etc., etc. or use the Win32 API for that matter. It uses some cheapo GUI lib in which all the components of it resemble windows controls and stuff. And that same GUI lib can be used for DOS programs.

Now, this is what they teach you at my school (programming in Turing). I don't think we have the latest version though so the above might have been changed. Either way, it's a crappy language and I don't see why our school makes us use it when we have a perfectly good install of Visual Studio 6 Professional on our school network (which includes VB, VC++, VJ++, etc.).

Oh well.

(Sorry for this rant!Wink)

Try dark basic, it's easy and powerful, not to mention the similarities to Qbasic in terms of syntax
nstead of smacking yourself with a lock of wet dog hair, make your day worthwhile by going to "the mother of all that is good in gaming"--- TIKITAC games, you just might fall in love!

DarkBASIC is a scripting language for a well rounded 3D engine. I consider it as "not a language" as HTML.
am an asshole. Get used to it.

well, spank my mittens, you may be right! perhaps i should pretend that it would be satisfactory to argue semantics when it really doesn't matter. :normal:
