Good luck with everything. I hope everything works out.

It doesn't matter who you are in the QB community, theres probably more coverage of different people, ages, races, etc in the QB community than in the UN Smile

I never really think about the people I talk to online as -people- per say..... more like anonymous blobs of sexless jelly.... I reconize that there are real people behind the blobs but I don't care what they are...

Good luck with everything ^-^
So long and thanks for the fish

Damn man... I mean girl... ....

Im gonna really miss you. Hope you keep me on your msn, I really will miss talking to you.

I found it really really strange to find out 1 1/2 years down the line that one of my coolest online buddies was suddenly a chick without me ever knowing, I thought you were just messing with me for the first few days.

Wherever you go, take care... for your own sake. Hope you make the most of the rest of your life.

See you... Hopefully.... Sad

Quote:Wow... how did I miss that Z!re is female? o_O
Here's a little dose of reality when it comes to females on a programming forum:

1. Programming forums are dominated by males, and they are generally either hormone-driven adolescents or older guys with real lives (heh like me! Big Grin ). A female shows up on a programming forum, and what usually happens? "OMG A GURL HUH HUH *drool* *drool* HAY BABIE WANA GOT OUT WITH ME HUH HUH". It's moronic. I wonder if this happened to Meg at all? Probably. Big Grin (Never really happened to Rhiannon because people knew she was with me from the start, and who's got the balls to do anything in that case? )

2. Female programmers are rarely seen as serious. Programming is a male-dominated field where females rarely tread, mainly for reason #1. So when one doesn't reveal their gender, they are automatically assumed to be male. Because of this, they can be taken more seriously. It's a simple fact of life.

Therefore, any female on a programming forum is in a lot of trouble unless she does one of two things: either hides their true identity completely, or is able to prove their seriousness from the start. If it is true that Z!re is female (I've seen pictures of Z!re before, and thought Z!re looked a bit feminine but didn't think anything else about it because frankly, it's rather immaterial), then Z!re has successfully done both things.
I'd knock on wood, but my desk is particle board.
