Quake 1 on Windows XP
#21
Quote:I couldn't get a new gfx card if I wanted to. My computer doesn't have an AGP slot, so I'm stuck with the built-in Intel Extreme or whatever crap. Sad
Anyone know where I can get the full version of Quake I? It's just weird that nobody offers it on Kazaa any more.

I think that it was called "ultimate quake" or something, and it's on emule. It brings the full game, and 600+ mb of custom levels and several windows engines (tenebrae, glquake, and almost all the most common ones are in there). Everything comes with a easy to use installer and some menu systems so everything is easy to run and manage. I'd suggest you to get this.

About the video card, you can find PCI versions of some cards. There's a PCI Voodoo, a PCI GeForce II, and some others as well. I'd take a look in ebay.

Thanks, it did work.
I still have that red bar though and poor visibility. I'm going to try to download Tenebrae and see how it works.
