I can quite easily modify my chatnet at seph.blissdev.com to have a simple PHP rolling system. Just may not be very graphical... unless I make a GIF for rolling dice, and then I make JPGs for ever possible roll...

Hey, who knows? This could actually be the start of something. Can you do it? You wouldn't have to draw all of the pictures yet. Couldn't you just make it print out the numerical value of the roll or something... just to test it?

Well assuming PHP has both an "echo" and a random-number function, it's not only possible to do, but so easy that I just assumed we would skip that part. Right?

Although, since the "chatnet" I created erases half a day's worth of posts every time the meridian changes (AM or PM), this could only last a week using it. So I suggest we do this using phpBB so that we can genuinely keep all of our posts organized and safe from deletion.

I could set this up tonight on my seph.blissdev.com... Anyone wanna help me test it?

Here's an idea I had...in order to make this kind of game work, some automation would have to be done. Thus, I put together this little window quickly:


This would be the player's "character sheet". Naturally not everything is shown here that should be, but you should get the basic idea from this image. Each player would have this program, it would basically serve as both the character sheet and the dice. The DM would have a much more advanced program which he/she would use to control the game with. It would take quite awhile to even do a mockup of such a program but I could probably do it tomorrow.

This is just one idea, but I feel it's a good one since we don't have the luxury of sitting around a big table all in one place. Thoughts?

Btw, I based this off of AD&D 2nd edition, IMO the only version of AD&D worth playing.
