I was going to say that, though I wasn't exactly sure if I was missing something or not. Tongue However, now that WT's said it, I shall agree with him.

Its a "feature" of modern motherboards. They have a connector which you can attach to the case and can report if the case has been opened. I don't have mine connected because I don't need to be told when I have opened my case ;-)

My uncle got this computer from his work, since he did not have access to the contents, that voided the warranty there. So it was void before we revoided it if that is possible.

Well, I bought the machine as individual parts, so I kinda had to open the case to get it all in there in the first place ;-). I understood the case open message was meant to be a security feature, so you could tell if someone had tampered with your machine. I didn't see it as particularly useful. For warranty purposes, they could just use a special sticker over one of the joins at the lid, take the lid off and you break the sticker, much easier and more reliable.

Well the plastic piece that broke off wouldn't stay in, so sticking part of a pencil in solved this problem, sometimes you have to jiggle the pencil around though. Lol, technology is great.

Err, that made sense. Perhaps you could repost it in English for the rest of us ;-)
