How often so you reformat/restore your system/s?
#1
Myself, about once a month if I can. Not so often during my offline periods. Reason I ask is I am due for one now.

Eh... Um... I'm always too lazy to do it. I really should though, it's something this computer desperately needs. Maybe one of these days... Tongue

So you reinstall windows and all your apps whenever you reboot?

Fun! :/

and I think the poll needs a "Whenever my computer needs it" option.

He didn't specifically say he boots from C:, only that he has format c: in his autoexec.bat file. He could boot from a floppy! Big Grin

Maybe if you were better about it you wouldn't even have to =p
Usually only time we've had to reformat a windows computer was the users fault =p.

Of course I say "we" and "windows" because.. I use Linux and it doesn't like commiting suicide.

Wow, I must miss all these problems that other people have with Windows. I've been running XP for two or three years now and haven't reinstalled it once. The entire machine (except for the harddrives) has been replaced during that time; motherboard, cpu, ram, dvd/cd drive, graphics card, everything. My next upgrade will be a new harddrive, I have a friend who is going to help me ghost off the current install to new the new drive, so even then I won't be reinstalling. I do get the occasional random crash from an application, but the system has always been responsive and stable (never bluescreened).
