I'm 24, and when I get a real photo you will see I look about 30...

My Dad lives in Queensland, I haven't seen him for 6 years. My Mum is long passed on, 6 years ago, age 40 years, 5 days.

Anything else?

I can't afford the $200K for a house at the moment.

anarky.... if you find out that your dad needs to go to a doctor, do NOT let him go to a doctor where an iraqi-looking doctor with a short temper works. i heard he is incompetent and killed many people with his stubbornness and lack of intellegence.

Same age? Do you mean just by year, or is there a reason you quoted the exact date? :p

'Dis is me in Cádiz, Spain, December 10th 2005, in a pub called Medusa with those strange light stripes who look like a cheap sci-fi movie.

I was born on December 18th, 1978, (but I don't look 27 Big Grin) in a mid-sized coastal village in south Spain, in the province of Cádiz, called Sanlúcar de Barrameda. If you know about spanish winery, this name should be familiar. We also have awesome seafood - and I love it. So you get it cheap and of premium quality - heh I love being Andalusian.

My mum works at home as she had to leave school at 12 'cause her family couldn't afford books and uniform for her (yeah, Spain in the 60s was that poor), but she's incredibly intelligent and literate. My dad is a primary school teacher, and I have to say he's one of the best I've ever met. I have a bro aged 24 who wear two feet long rastas and lots of piercings. We both are good friends and have absolutely no problems. The key point is that we both live in different flats Tongue

My teens were somewhat unusual. I was the typical weak, semi-fat child. When people turned 13 and begun high school, I was still a child so I was not very popular. The thing changed at 15 when I was in classroom with 11 other unpupular, geeky dudes. We founded some kind of gang and ruled big part of the high school for two years, until we just got bored of it. It's so damned fun how this popular, handsome rude jive guy respects you 'cause you are more dangerous than he used to be

This means that I didn't go in the fashion of normal popular teenagers, who just date girls, do drugs and go to discos. My life was somewhat different. I had those two friends from primary school and we basicly did everything together. We begun drawing comics, but we eventually tried everything: magazines, radio shows, movies, computer games, we even made a full-fledged rpg. We had been playing around with the musical band thingo for a while when in 1994 we decided to be serious and form a real band. We just choose our instruments, mine was keyboards, and my friends took guitar and bass, respectively. Scumm was formed.

We disbanded in 1995 'cause we were 16 and our hormones made us act stupidly. We had a big fight and eventually stopped talking to each others. I begun college in 1996 (OH MY FUCKING GOD, 10 YEARS AGO!). After a while we begun meeting again. I formed a band with the bass player and some other guys in 1997. I formed a parallel band with the other guy (the guitarrist) in 1998 (called Mira lobe and playing some kind of gay-glam-suede'ish pop-rock and we had tons of success Tongue). Both died around 2001 for überdisinterest. By that time I began playing with electronic music and learned tons of things.

In July 2003 we three met again in a drinking party (botellón in spain: basicly a bunch of people in the street with a bottle of liquor and another one of soda and bags of ice - it happens every friday and saturday and thursday and whatever you feel like) and we went so nostalgic that we decided to keep with Scumm - and now that's my band. Kinda doint the music I like, at last. It's the aspect of my life (besides my cute "niñas" - that's how I call my female friends who I absolutely love and praise) which fills me the most. The nice thing is that the three of us play almost every instrument so we love to switch Smile

I also draw comics for http://www.ojodepez-fanzine.net which I co-founded (sorry, Spanish).

I am currently in a retro-coding group. We release new games in its original media for a wide range of 8 bits computers. We also do remakes. http://cezgs.computeremuzone.com

I have too many hobbies, that's why University took that long

Btw, I do smoke, I do drink, and I do several soft drugs. But in a classy way. I'm not killing myself - at least at a fast pace Tongue

I mean, I'm Spanish. It's gonna be a somewhat long process to strip us from our vices. But we're working on that Big Grin

Hello, my name is Marshall Colin Wilson, and i'm an alcoholic.

Oh, wait, this isn't AA?

Anyways, i also have a chinese name, romanized as Moon Utt. I probably should of died a few weeks after I was born, needing a blood transfusion, almost dieing from allergies and whatnot, yet somehow i'm still here.

I've lived all my life here in Saskatchewan Canada, so i'm fairly used to the cold. And no, we don't live in Igloo's. Everyone doesn't wear a toque. We don't hunt seals, and it's pronounced "about" not "aboot!" Nor do we say "eh" after every sentence, eh?

Now that I got that out of my system, I've lived a fairly good life. I was the typical guy who loved to play all kinds of sports, yet I was never really that great at them. Somewhere in grade 6 or 7, I discovered a "basic" program in a book, and it turned out that my mom taught computer programming as one of her classes. She gave me a few books, and I started programming. A few weeks later I stopped, mostly because I didn't know the existance of graphical commands yet. Tongue I started programming back in grade 9 or 10, when I wanted to create my own rpg yet didn't want to use an rpg maker. I ended up watching this guy at school play Mirkwood, claiming it was for his programming class. Tongue I've always been into computers, and not just playing on them. I enjoy going out and learning what I can about them.

Living up in the frozen wastelands of saskatchewan, I've really enjoyed many activities such as hunting, quading and snowmobiling. Some nights here in the city, I miss home for the country air, sounds, and general peacefulness. I'm half chinese, one quarter Czech and one quarter English. This odd blend makes me look Aboriginal, and i've been mistaken for aboriginal more than once. Tongue Can't say i've gone through life without being picked on a fair amount either, but you learn to either live with it and don't let it bug you, or you just don't and let it get to you.

So, I started programming again and I haven't stopped. (Though I haven't released anything for quite a while) I'm now in university, first year second semester software systems engineering. I was originally going to go into Computer Programming, when the people at the Uni told me that Software engineering was better. Tongue I've got a great group of friends, and I got lots of assignments due, and I've got 25 minutes until my chem lab that I'd better start going to. (It's roughly a 15 minute drive to get to uni, and a 5 minute walk afterwards.)

lastly, I enjoy amazing my friends. Tongue Since i've been programming junk for years, sometimes i'll randomly program a random graphics demo such as particles during a useless class, then show it to them. They try to comprehend how I could program such a "complex" thing when they can barely make a hello world program. Tongue

my thoughts exactly...You look like you are closer to 17 years older than me rather than 17 days Tongue

I am 17 and currently a junior in highschool. About a year and a half ago I moved from my good ol' suburb in Illionois to this snobbish jewish town that is a pain in the arse. There is nothing to do around here, so lately I have been coding a lot more than I used to.

When I'm not coding, I am most likely doing homework. This sem I have AP World History ( =| ), German 3 (man there are so many stories I have about this teacher), Cisco Network Sem 4 (its hard to believe in a couple of months I can get my certification, woo!), Honors Euro Lit (ok..), Psychology (man this teacher is nuts), Honors Physics, and Honors Precalc/calc ab. Its quite a load, but the block scheduling we have makes it a bit lighter.

My life before highschool was too nice to give me any real experience, as I spent preschool-6th in a luthern school and 7 & 8 homeschooled. However the experience did teach me to look at things from a different perspective which helped me deal with the issues of self. I have never really worried about being an individual, I have always assumed that I am unique and if I'm not, the other guy copied me Wink.

I enjoy writing, reading, pretty much anything scifi, pizza, chinese food, italian beef (for those who live around chicago, you know what I'm talking about), and of course a good video game.

I could tell a lot more, but I've been going on too long, and I have some homework I got to get to Tongue

Hiii everybody! (hi dr. nick Tongue)

My name is James Kinney, and i'm lots of stuff. i'm bi sexual (and in love with the cutest boy ever), i'm a furry, a smoker (not so much recently), a drinker (.....no comment), and overall i'm mr. fantastic. not to brag >.>...

My life as a child was pretty messed up. not sayin it was worse than anybody elses, everyone's got their problems, but it was still pretty messed up on my standards. I was brought up in the south for the most part. from age 1-3 i lived in north carolina, age 3-5 south caroline, age 5-8 i lived in the lovely state of georgia (thats the peach state yall), age 8-10 i lived in Okinawa, Japan (best times of my life). and from age 10 until now (17) i've been living in Enfield Connecticut. moved around alot as a kid, was brought up to be racist by a few alcoholics and got the belt if i said otherwise. i've overcome that though, now i'm just better than them Smile (don't get me wrong, i love my parents and all, but some of their veiws just aint right, even if they have improved over the years.)

i've been playin guitar for 7 years on and off now, and am just now getting into the music scene. I have a good feeling it's gonna be big, word of us is spreading like wildfire (unfortunately i feel as if it's going to die down much sooner than expected). the styles i play are metal, grunge, blues and jazz. and recently, a strange combination of metal and western XP

I'm a rather artistic person, infact, thats how i plan on earning a living. (that is if i'm not a famous musician). i'm currently in my senior year in highschool, but have been accepted into a liberal/fine arts program (2 years at a community college, 2 years at maine college of art!)

soooo.....uh...hmmm, thats it? i guess. PICTURE:

heh This thread is really quite nice. Pretty interesting backgrounds here. I have to wonder, Zack... why is it you have a gestapo marching as your avatar? Also, not sure how Jewish you are, but I've enjoyed learning/singing Hebrew songs/prayers.

Anyways, my name is (fitting) Ryan Daniel Szrama. I was born February 15, 1983 in Wichita, KS and am the middle of three boys. I moved all over the place due to the military, bouncing from Wichita -> England -> Key West, FL -> Pensacola, FL -> Philadelphia, PA -> Pensacola -> Plano, TX -> Pensacola -> Louisville, KY where I am now. I love it here in Louisville for no particular reason other than I've finally been able to stay put. I graduated from high school and then college here with a Bachelor's in Biblical Studies, and now I'm taking on-line courses through my state's "virtual university" to perhaps grab a degree in programming. It will make it tons easier to get paid well (Biblical Studies doesn't exactly fetch a high salary, though I am extremely grateful for the time I had to study the Bible, learn the languages, learn the history, and more).

I used to make blinds at night, but I quit that job two nights ago and held onto my day job working full time doing web development/on-line sales for a local refrigeration company. We sell restaurant equipment (and quite often beer dispensers to people who want to impress their friends at home!) and a few other things. It's weird, but it's a living. And my boss is paying me to learn PHP/MySQL in developing an eCommerce site through Drupal.

The earliest programming I remember doing is in third grade or so, on my Commodore 64/128. My dad has always been a techie, doing it for the Air Force before retiring and working for Intel where he is now. Naturally, my old brother and I had an affinity for computers and managed to crank out an entertaining little jet fighting game on our Commodore. Figuring out the SPRDEF was a pain I remember, but we were young and there was no Google to search. ^_^ From there I moved to GWBASIC, then QBASIC, eventually to QB/PDS, and now FB. I really enjoy the challenge of programming, but I rarely finish things. It's fun to hang around and see what everyone else comes up with, though, and occasionally I beat something one of you make and really enjoy it! (Dark Woods 2 being one of my fav., which I also made the map editor for. Wink )

So.. besides the job and programming, I'm also dating a girl I met through church here in Louisville named Athena. She's wonderful, but relationships are hard work and relating can be even harder. But plenty of patience, communication, and forgiveness help out. I also enjoy working with children, especially underpriveleged/neglected kids. I worked for the YMCA for a couple years and recently moved into the inner city where I hang out with the children/play football in the park/school them in video games/do whatever I can. I moved into the inner city here close to my church which is caddy corner across the park, where I also do children's ministry. For the last several months I've been helping a pastor friend of mine in Corydon, IN (about 30 minutes west) as a children's inter on Wednesday nights. Mostly, kids just love having adults be interested in their lives, so that's what I try to do! Jesus said whoever receives a child receives him, so I worked to minister to children as I would Jesus or anyone else.

Soo... this life history is a lot more than the thread called for, but maybe someone read it and enjoyed knowing a little more about me. I believe it was Seph who was wondering who I was a while back, anyways. (Or rather, heckling me along with z1re..)

heh, and following suit w/ everyone else, I don't smoke or drink because I like my body too much.

I also love playing ultimate frisbee. And playing guitar.

Anyone is welcome to come stay at my place if they're in Louisville. Follow the map in the link above. 8)
