the only thing i can think is that controller better be sturdy. cuz people are gonna be swinging it around and smacking it against themselves and god knows what else, and you know its gonna fly out of countless peoples hands/through windows, etc. lol.
seems kind of counter-intuitive seeing as they love to target kids... i dunno.. we shall see...

i'm getting nintendo's new system. it's gonna be crazy, i can't wait.
as for the PS3, i'm sorry but $500-$600 is not cheap by any stretch of imagination. "but it has blue-ray", who cares. the controller is the same, the games are still gonna be mediocre (and for those GTA fans, GTA4 is comming to the Xbox360 first). I lost respect for sony when they told gamers to "stop thinking of it as a game system, and as more of an entertainment system". i have an entertainment system, i don't need to pay out the ass for another one because it comes with a game system.
Nintendo has the brains to re-invent a system, Microsoft has the means to build the largest online gaming community effectively, and what does sony have. the ability to produce the same system over and over again with better parts.
the mind is a beautiful thing, use it and make the world a more beautiful place.

I'm going for the *cough* WII as well.
I find it utterly hilarious and frankly pretty sad that Sony added in motion sensitivity at the last minute... Yeah, great idea, rip off the competition and expect it to do just as well... :wtnod2: It's only 6 degrees of movement left and right apparently, though-- Unless developers get REALLY creative, not much use apart from things like driving/racing games. Even then, I'd probably prefer to use the thumbstick...
To me it just looks like Sony is struggling to stay afloat. And yes, 400-500 bucks for a console is pretty ridiculous... I don't know how anyone could call that 'cheap.' Ah well... Also, no rumble? Funny... I guess it's cause the company that originally developed the DualShock technology was suing Sony for ripping them off... Sounds familiar. :lol: It'll just be a bit strange, I mean rumble has kinda become standard/expected in this generation.
Well, at any rate, I'm really looking forward to the Wii, no matter how silly the name sounds. Innovation... Unlike, say, Sony, who claim that online play is 'more innovative' than the Wii's control system... And then, AFTER labelling it as a gimmick, steal a cheap, stripped-down version of it for their own console... Kinda funny. XD

I don't play vedio games, as Fireball constantly reminds me.... 
I do however enjoy Gran Turismo, but until GT5 comes out for PS3, I have no need for the system.... I just hope by then the price has dropped.... I might have to give up collecting GT if I got to pay 500 for a system I'll most likely have 1 game on.... XD ....

I hardly play video games anymore but I have been patiently awaiting the arrival of ps3. xbox 360 was a major disapointment, and Wii IMO is gonna suck. I'll prolly buy the ps3 and get board after a couple months like anything else, but I am deffinatly wanting to get one =)

after seeing this, i'm now very excited for the wii. As if seeing twilight princess wasn't bad enough, they also show an fps game, tennis game, and a composing game. All looked quite excellent. Damn, I can't decide now on the PS3 or the Wii now!

remember when someone put down the ps3 controller for only 6 degrees of movement? Well, please take a look at this video before you put it down again. I think they didn't mean you could only move it 6 degrees rotation wise.

Or you could save some money and get Forza Motorsport 2 for 360 ;)
It is every bit as good as GT and at least maybe then, you will get some Ferraris, Porsches and other car makes that rejected the GT series... instead of endless Renaults, Toyotas and Nissans to make up for it :P

rotation x,y,z axes in both ways 
edit: after watching both those videos I was actually less inclined to buy either product. Sony is pitching their rip off as their main controller sell off point, and that wii controller did not look at all like fun. Sure, it would be sweet to use, once. The two different controller thing set me off as did the wires and the fact I will have to move my hands around in wide motions in order to play a game...I guess I really will be sticking to pc...
