My religious organization was the Roman Catholic Church Wink

Nah, I am completely aware that not every Catholic association is like the one I was in. All I can say is that mine sucked. And it is like the most important (and rich, in therms of infrastructure, logistics, and number of "members") in my town.

About the same time I spent a couple of summers helping to a smaller, poorer association that helped children in the outskirts not to fall into heroine and cocaine by organizing activities to keep them out from the streets. The association was directed by two young monks but all the praying was on Sundays during the mass cellebration. I think this thing was way more real and useful. I spent great times with the children creating paper masks and marionettes, or organizing gimkanas accross the hood. Fun times Big Grin

I knew it...

For I too am a Roman Catholic

I also have some folks here at town, who just pray and pray and pray... But I was at a different organization the Youth Ministry, which is quite cool, we used to go to barrios and to gather the youth, to "bring them back"... And to say, I am the Minister and I feel what it is to see that your ministry is going through hard times because of the member's lack of commitent...

But I see that there are some people that dont really do it at heart, ther pray and do good, (in the church) but when they arrive home they make a hell out of their houses, they do as if they werent that religious...

You know, my mother picked a fight once with a jewelled and furred, rich woman at church 'cause that woman was trying to fire a beggar who had entered the church to have a rest from the suffocating heat outside (around 50ºC in summer). The woman was shouting "get out of here, this ain't place for the dirty rabble!", and my mo confronted her "this is place for everybody". And that very woman fits in the description of the first post in this thread, the kind who tell you "damned, poor damned godless misleaded person, you will not enjoy eternal rest in heaven". Man, that piece of crap thinks she'll got to heaven

Yeah, there are instances that in terms of collection, some rich people do open their purses and dig under their paper biils and look for coins. Its so pathetic and so stupid to see that their hands can hardly fit the purse because their not too largre rings restrict their fingers from brobing their paper bill-fattened purse... Poor... :^_^:

I don't see how a religious topic wouldn't become a religious topic when it has been a religious topic from the beginning.

"I don't want this to become a debate about cars, but chevrolet is better than cadillac", and stuff.
