i'm 6'2"... it's not that poor a measurement. About adopting a foot as a measurement, people used to use body parts as units in ancient times, both for counting and measuring. I have 5 hands of corn, i have 25 things of corn, etc. He's 6 heads tall, he's two arms away -- everyone has an arm or a leg, so it's pretty good for general measurements, because it's a universal reference. (and yes, i know body lengths differ, but it's not important for simple measurements).
A quote from an old stats book: "Take 16 men as they walk out of church on a Sunday, both big and small, and line them up foot to foot, and by this you shall have a measure by which to lay roads..."
Statisticians aren't interested in being accurate. Just in being "near" the mark.

can you be any clearer than that??? I don't know how you guys live, no guns! What would this world come to if only men in power had guns? I for one love hunting, and just sport shooting... I will get a license to carry a hangun when I'm 21... I love the USA!!!
