Agreed. UQB, don't you think that the reason you feel you need guns is a little suspect? I mean, you say that you want/need a gun because it would be bad if only the people in power had them, but if you didn't and neither did they (it's quite possible you know, this state already exists in NZ and probably Spain), that you'd see less crime because the crims that would otherwise attack would be to chicken etc?

Guns are used in the most horrible crimes, and give small horrible people an excuse to pick on the well-meaning people without guns. I say you can keep your guns, and good riddance.
The odds of having an invader come into your home, furthermore with the intention or the willingness to harm you, are slimmer than slim. The odds of getting hurt become much greater when you bring a lethal weapon into your home. Bringing a lethal weapon into your home as a mechanism for opposing the government (those in power) makes the situation even worse.

Using rifles to shoot game, however, is not a big deal. Veal=yum. I'm just not the shooting type.
Yeah, this is the reason the States has such a runaway gun problem with somebody somewhere getting shot every 30 seconds (sure I read that somewhere Tongue). Hope it never gets like that here... our police don't even carry guns (if nobody else has one, they don't need one either)
hey, I didn't mean to give the impression that I'm scared of someone attacking me in my home or anything, because that never happens! I like gus because they are fun to shoot! I don't use them to protect myself, but I have them if the need ever come... Although I would never opose my government with them. If they take guns away, it will take away a part of me, and I will no longer feel free in this country. I was just messing with all yall brits and stuff, Smile I know yalls opinion on the matter, but the fact is you can still get a gun in your country, and when your police forces don't even have one, sad... There's a joke here in Texas about what the brit's police say... "Stop or I'll say Stop again!!!" or perhaps "Stop or I'll throw my stick at you!!!" But it all boils down to how you were raised... of course I didn't grow up around guns, my family isn't a friend or foe of the idea. Well, think on that! Smile I understand yalls opinions Wink
alright, that's me:

Quote:i'm 6'2"...

I'm 6'4'' so I win.

Quote:I have 5 hands of corn, i have 25 things of corn, etc.

So your thing is the size of 1/5 of your hand? Isn't that like physically impossible, because your hand is supposed to be just as long as your thing?

In Spain you can drink and smoke if you are older than 18 years old. Lately a new law emerged: you can't buy drinks (fulll liquour or beer/wine bottles) past 10 o'clock if the establishment is not a bar. Anyhow, people drink in streets.

It is called "botellón", what can be translated like "bottles party" or something like that. Groups of people buy a "lote", which consists on a liquour bottle (rum, whiskey, gin...), a bag of ice, glasses and a bottle of fanta, coke and the like. Then you go to the place "a la mode", put your stuff on the ground, and drink. "Botellon"s usually last from 23:00 or 00:00 (when people go out) until 3:30 or 4:00 am (when drinks run out), then people go to pubs, "chiringuitos" (kinda outdoor pubs at the beach) and stuff.

The good thing of Spain is its "wine culture". People drink, that comes with folklore.
