That and (this is VERY NOTICABLE under image intesnse threads) it can interfear with saving the webpage, becuse IE likes to refresh all images when it saves etc etc, and it tries to grab them all from different hosts, fails, and then sits their doing nothing.

Hey, good to see ya, havnt seen you post that much lately. But the smilie part was just mean.

And on determining the quality of ones posts, there are tons of ways(post count, registered date, percentage posts, karma) but non are foolproof. I woudnt be suprised to see some people try to raise their karma.

And on the mod oracle spoke, i always thought that was built into phpBB, i guess i was wrong.

Well, I don't give a @#~@#~@# about my post count. Some people have said that it makes you be more respected. That can be true, but only to a point. I'd rather go with the Karma system. I think I have more than 4,000 posts, but I could've been spamming day after day, so that number doesn't really tell much, I think. Anyhow, not everyone thinks about that, and I concur on the fact that if you come new to a forum and someone with 4,000 posts replies your post, you say "Whoah! this guy must know a whole lot!"

I really don't give a ##@~#@~@##~ about "being more respected" or "being more important". To me, everyone is an equal here. That post count valoration would only work in a fantastic world where everyone was happy and good and never spammed, which obviously is not the case. Would be the Karma system very hard to implement?

Let's talk by example. Let's reset our post counts to ZERO. If 5 top posters jump into this wagon, I agree to have my post count reset

I am a liar, I said that I don't care about my post count, but I do, in some way: It is some kind of "memory" about your stance in the forums...

Btw, in 5 days I'll have my second annyversary here

You can reset my post count, but only after I get my chocolate bar for getting 500 ;-). I would like to see a karma system here, but I dont think its necessary. Oracle, how hard is it to make the post count only visible from a members view profile page? That way people can retain their precious post counts, but others will only see them if they visit that persons profile. Just an idea.

As far as the other issues presented here...with few exceptions, anyone who worries about their post count needs to get a hobby, something away from their computer. Coz they're on the forums just too damned much. I have over 1000 posts and this account's only been active a few months. Do I care? Of course not. I just find it interesting to see when the rank will change again, and what it will say.

I think people just need to grow the fuck up and get over it. And yeah...I know that will be censored, but just to illustrate the point...
