Ditto. Although I do admit that a lot of IE problems I have had have disappeared when I check in with FireFox.
99% of times, (like this one), the so called "IE fault" is, in fact, a user fault.

IE works perfectly for me, I never had a problem. And when I did, it was my fault for messing up stuff Tongue
^ So it's your fault that IE renders pngs incorrectly? That simple stylesheet properties are misinterpreted? Two huge problems from a web designers point of view. And you're missing out on how a page should really be rendered most of the time.
yup, ie sux! Microsoft also dismisses most of its 'flaws' as user errors =P. I have used IE for quite a long time and sometimes for no reason at all when I have multiple browsers open it says MSHTML.DLL(?) has caused an error in iexplorer.exe and closes all the instances! Thats very very annoying.

Whats even more annoying is that after I did a fresh reinstall of Windows I updated the whole system. I applied IE's 'critical' patches. I was pretty happy with myself =). But then when I logged into my hotmail account to check my email what do I find? Whenever I go over any js object I get some annoying error! I couldnt send or view my emails properly because whenever I would go over any control, it would show me an error! I had to completely reinstall the system to get rid of those dirty patches.

Burn in hell IE!
I finally switched to FireFox......increase browsing speed and reliability

Oz~
My IE is condemned to some corner in the HDD ever since I started using Linux and for Windows I installed the Win32 version of Mozilla =)
IE is simply old, and at the time the last version was produced, PNGs were still not the dominant graphics format. They're still not, and likely never will be. IE sucks at CSS but again, that's because CSS wasn't as common at the time, as people were still transitioning. IE6 is a lot older than its copyright date says it is. And although I am inclined to agree with na_th_an on the subject of user incompetance, it's not always the case...just most of the time.

We use FireFox here, and for some reason, it refuses to retain the cookie for qbasic.tk for more than an hour. Every other site works fine. The reasons we don't use IE are because it is old, slow, and memory-hungry, and this poor laptop with its measly 56MB of RAM running Windows XP Select Edition just can't hack it. Big Grin

Use whatever browser works for you, and shut up. Trying to coerce people through bandwagon-riding "M$ suxx0rz! IE suxx0rzzz!!!one one one lololololol roffle roffle!!!!oneoneoneone11111!!!!!" is retarded, stupid, idiotic, moronic, petty, sheepish, cloneish, dumb, foolish, followerish, elitist-without-a-clue crap-in-a-can.
Agreed.

Plus, I'm anty-hype, and the hype now is using Firefox 'cause you're cool for using it. Like the trillian hype some time ago.

Use Firefox 'cause you like it or you need it, not 'cause "it's cool".
Mozilla is good. I've only visited this site a few times within the last year, and haven't had any problems yet. Mozilla is a big improvement over IE, although I haven't tried Firefox yet.
