Correct me if I'm wrong Shogun but you go the technical line right?
Myself I go science and ther's more heavy math here I suppose,
so where I go you need at least a ti-83+...
...Well I browsed Texas Instruments homepage and found this:
http://education.ti.com/us/product/tech/...ideus.html
you
might want to check out especially chapter 13
Another site that looks good is:
http://www.ticalc.org
Finally I made some threads in the general programming forum.
You might have some use of the information there even if it's about
a ti-83+ rather than a ti-82 (I don't know the exact differences)
Happy coding!

As I said: Three letters, dude: A-S-M. TIBasic is fun, but slow.

You're wrong. I go what we in sweden call "samhäll" wich means I read alot of history geografy etc etc. So the math is alot easyer but I have to get one of those if I'm to studdy math C but unfurtunatly my brother has one of the TI83+ and he won't need it when I'm to studdy math C (I think I'm gonna do that) so I'll have to use his then ;(

the only diff is about how much memory you have and what machins you can link you're calc to, stuff like that oh and I think the 83+ has string variables aswell not sure though.

You think history is harder than math...? In theory, I would agree. But not in practice! My error rate in math is very high, just because I know what I'm doing... most of my history classes didn't allow you to make mistakes on tests easily... you know, like $56.04 instead of, say.... $56.03?

=> For all you not Swedish speakers: He just wondered why I have
not coded any games to the ti83 yet...
Answer: TI-basic isn't
really optimized for speed->graphics->game coding...
And for ASM I must a) learn it first b) get the stuff I need to compile
the asm into ti-compatible op code or what the
real programs
is made in...
EDIT: I got a silver-graph-link (USB) with mine and the original
graph-link doesn't support USB-links
and also there's no drivers for the USB that works with XP
