I double-click DIAMOND.EXE (after installation) and it just quits.
I'm on XP.

Sometimes doesn't help you know? At least it doesn't for me with a game called 'Jupiter'... It also just quits and the NTVDM gives an error. :-?

Hi!

Thanks people I try to fix these problems. Also I'm going to rewrite game complitely and won't use Wizgui but I switch it to my other Gui called GKL -it has lot of function like buttons, textboxes and menus, but doesn't have movable windows. I think it would be better for the game. I'll post new demo as soon as possible.

i agree with whoever said that stuff about the nice colors. its a very nice looking game. my only problem is that when the harpy sound goes when you push one on the green thing, it freezes. everytime. i dunno why. i turned the sound off and it worked perfectly. just thought ud wanna know dis.

overall, a very cool game though! lotsa potential, for sure

Most of the game code is rewritten and now game is built using GKL Gui library.

Okay all suggestions, questions and constractive criticism is welcome...

It looks much better now, and it didnt crash when I quit, which was nice . I did all three levels, very good, i want more!

Suggestions:
Like someone said before, perhaps more animation for the guy
Instead of just walls, maybe trees, statues, interior decoration, some sort of decorative scenery you can curse at for getting in the way For example: Make a level in a room, and walk around beds, sofas, tvs, anything. A nice roman courtyard..that would be really original, and wouldnt get boring for the player. You could really take this idea far!

Huh got MAPEDITOR TO WORK... You can create your own maps and save them -and play too. I know it still need work but...
If someone makes a good map then please send me too, to either wizgui@hot.ee or vongodric@hotmail.com.

All bugreport and suggestion are welcome...

What I want to make:
Score system
more objects -like what you can pick up (gives or takes points), doors -to open you must find a key first...

maybe secret areas(like rooms what are closed) -so not visible until you open the door...

Holes -if you push diamond into it it disappears...
I have lot of ideas just need to code them up.

Also if someone knows where to get nice looking sprites what I could use in game then please tell me or even better send me(I use sprites in size 31*31 pixels) But I guess they can be resized too...


About Windows XP...
my game uses 640*480 16 bit color mode and future.Library
Sometimes winXP have problems with this mode Dunno why...
