Er, well you don't have to stop using those libs to get games that work for everyone. You just have to set the mode to 320x200x8 with no pages since that uses mode 13h. And add high res/color options as well if you want those who can to run high res/col.
oship me and i will give you lots of guurrls and beeea

Well, people tend to go with this logic. If something works on my PC I won't bother to make it work on most of other PCs. Sadly.

I'll make one version what will work on all computers in the future okay? Perhaps just using SCREEN 12 -I don't like muct 13h. But I'm sure I'll not be able to use That graphics though... In my code not much had to be redone to force it to work in screen 12 -at least I hope so...

Von, that is extremely good piece of work. I hope you will release a final version =P.

Lachie stop complaining and get yourself an old test comp.

Old test comp? I own one. Ancient. SC2000 and Battle Bugs, both hi-res VESA games work fine on it.

Then that particular resolution may not be supported by your video card which is quite rare. I think its 640x480 16/24bit.

Actually you are right: 640*480 16 bit. New version uses 800*600 16bit. Most ov the vesa suporting videcards(I dare to say 99,8%) support these modes...

I also tried it on 2 college PCs from different manufacturers(propably featuring different video card) with two different Windows versions(XP and 2000) and it doesn't work on either of them.

would you mind telling us which video card you are using and also those PCs are running. If you are using ATI Radeon series cards then they have no *real* VESA support. I dont think there will be any probs with nvidia or ge force cards.
