my first SUPER QB Game UPDATED -Mapeditor ready
#21
The new version is great, although i have a list of bugs here:

1. Quite often the drop down menu wont recognise my choice of "Exit"

2. After a while of playing around, the program wont read any of the characters that I type in

3. After I edit a map, and click on "save" and then exit, the program says "do you want to exit without saving?" (not much of a problem, just disconcerting as to wether you have actually saved your map at all)

apart from that, its good work. =)

Well, its always good practice to try actiuvating EMS when you get an error like that. Just was telling Zack...

I have EMS activated! Smile

Yes, but some people who cant be assed activating EMS properly COUGH::me::COUGH will know that you have to manually change the EMS settings in the properties of the program. Thus, activate EMS unless you already have done so permanently Wink

A score system would be cool...just count the steps the player needs to solve a level

It's working pretty well now. It did lock up on me once when I used Esc to exit the menu screen, but usually works well.

I agree with ak00ma about a move counter. I think it would add interest.

Allowing the user to select different tiles for the left and right mouse buttons would make the map editor easier to use.
Are you interested in maps?

Hy!

Sorry for not updating...
I will by the end of the week though... (if everythings goes as planned...)

Yeah I would be glad if you guys would send me maps -I'll post them with the game then so it would be more interest to play. Though you should wait with mapmaking till next week because I rewrote whole game and map generating engine.
But I can covert them by the way!

Some new features in map editor:
Map size is now 23*16 (was 18*12)
Mapeditor is easier to use: To both mousebutoon can set different tile, row and column numbers, a bit better graphics also... Also diamond and sockets counter. You don't have to click on every box to put tile into it you can just mouse with pressed button over boxes and tiles set themselves in...

Technical...
Uses 800*600 16 bit mode -sorry folks, but I think it is better this way.
Uses Future.Library 3.5 and GKL 1.2(gkl is my GUI what provides easy to use buttons, textboxes and menus)
Previous used GKL 1.0 (menu bug is now fixed...)

Game mode changes...
Counts moves and pushes also time, diamond and diamond sockets...

By the way if someone wants game's or GKL library source here's the link: www.hot.ee/wizgui/Game.exe
I also would be glad for any suggestions bug report and etc...

I believe in open source! :king:

I'm not evil. I just want to keep playing new QBasic games. With this FLib and UGL tendency I have a feeling I won't have much fun.

Can someone take a screenshot of this thing so that I at least know how it looks like?
