How long did it take you to learn QBasic?

Nah, I can see a clear link betveen eating yourself to death and the time it takes to learn QBasic.

If you learn QBasic quickly you then become lazy and have more time to eat, thus getting fat, thus eating yourself to death.

If you learn QBasic slowly you don't have time to eat, thus losing weight, thus eating (or not eating) yourself to death.

okay to prove.
First of all I wrote that I was 6'5 & 230lbs
after the weight scale at work today I checked & actually I am 6'5inches tall & weigh only 205
I eat only one time a day (at dinner) & then eat a normal sized meal. usually 2 hamburgers or so.
My daughter is 5'4 & she only weighs 110lbs
so there for their is 2 pepole in America not eating themselves to death.

one more fact my grandmother died on 3/22/02
she had a heart attack , she only weighed 89 lbs at the time.
The doctors begged her to eat more before & even wanted to hospitalize her to help .

I do not like the way that pepole here stereo type all the pepole in 1 country. I have never said anything abought the countries yuns live in or try to stereo type you becouse of the country you live in.

I see no borders, I only see neibors & hopefully freinds

Hamburgers? Isnt that red meat? Bad for your health, infact very bad :wink:.

Just for the record I eat white meat i.e. chicken, fish. Thats all.

Also, you seem to be old enough to understand that when we said "Americans are eating themselves to death", we dont mean each and every american is doing that. This is strictly on a statistical basis =).

Back on topic: I started programing in TRS-80 and C64 BASIC when I was 12. I'm still learning new things about programming (albiet, mostly VB, ASM, SQL and not much QB anymore ;P )

A year i guess before i learnt it, but at that time i didn't know anything about programming at all, so what i really was learning was programming and not qbasic (which was btw how i learnt, its help system). But once i had mastered qb coding, it only took me a week to be able to do useful things with C, and maybe a month with asm, another week with C++ and so on. So when you master one fairly good structured programming languages it will be very easy to learn another since they're all based on the same concepts pretty much.
