This is a Good Thing, IMHO.
They aren't going to bother with people getting stuff illegally off Kazaa or just doing smalltime hacking of a convienience store's website. They'll be catching child pornographers and possibly terrorists.
What's wrong with that?

That is a good thing Zack...

But did you know that it will become illegal to create software without a TCP license? A fine off $500'000 and 2 yeas in prison.

Also, if you create software which is both TCP and non-TCP runnable you get a fine $500'000 and 2 years in prison.

And you don't seriously think a big company directed only at profit has suddenly turned all knight in shiny white armor? (I'm talking about MS)

They are just going at an age old market strategy: Get the clients dependant on us, then increase price.

If I on my non-TCP machine create a document, you can't read it on you'r TCP machine, same the other way around.

Zack read what is TCPA correctly.

Quote:Therefore open-source and freeware would be condemned to die, because without such a certification the software will simply not work. In the long term only the big companies would survive and could control the market as they would like.

Ugh! :barf:

It's worth it, to eliminate the chance of child predators, child pornographers, bank-hackers and big-time spammers.

And programmers, and small business, and software developers...

And just about everything you are involved it.. you'r QB programs will become illegal...

If you want to be sure not to enter such sites like free6 or simillar just DL netNanny... or.. don't go there....

Zack, unless you want to be employed in a big crporation like MS... then you should be against TCP...

TCP is about as good for computer freedom as dictaroship is for freespeech

You shouldn't believe everything you hear/read.

I "heard/read" that there is an option to turn it off.
Peace cannot be obtained without war. Why? If there is already peace, it is unnecessary for war. If there is no peace, there is already war."
