yeah, probably referring to me too ;p i just wanna see what other people have to say, really. im not trying to provoke a 'nah, nah im right your wrong' kinda thing. opinion is what makes us human... its what abstracts all of us. if we cant share that, then i say were acting like robots.

Some of the people here WANT us all to act like robots...like little well-behaved automotons that are all alike and never have a difference of opinion. Well, that's simply never going to happen, Everyone has different opinions, whether they be jaded beyond belief or not, but they all have these opinions and they're all entitled to these opinions. Qbasicnews would die out if people were stopped from sharing their opinions. The reason this forum is such a success is because of the General forum, and the General forum thrives on the uniqueness of everyone in it. We're not just programmers; we're people. People with ideas, opinions, likes, dislikes, etc. If you want a forum designed strictly for programming, remove this General forum. Qbasicnews would get awfully quiet, and many of the users would leave to go elsewhere where they could talk and feel that freedom of expression.

Then get off your arse and learn it already, and stop participating in these debates. [...] sure i have a basic knowledge of the language, but i dont have the ability to make games with graphics, sound, etc.

Is that a rhetorical question?

Again, na_th and ado, you've completely missed what I said for the more extreme parts of my post: Nobody is stopping you from debating anything, as like at TBN. The only difference between TBN and QBN is that where you guys will move a thread to another forum, here it will be removed and the participants be encouraged to continue their debate elsewhere. So no debate is being "quashed", it's just being moved.

Moved into non-existence = being quashed
How difficult is THAT to understand?

Participants are encouraged to continue their debates elsewhere, however. If we could move the entire thread to a different website, we would, but you know that's not possible

You should know by now that the debates do not go elsewhere...but what DOES go elsewhere is anger and hatred stirred for those who've decided to shut people up...

It's not up to me to decide whether you take your debates elsewhere - if you decide to break rules, then not continue your debate, then it's no one's fault but your own. You cannot blame me for this. Obviously, if you were breaking rules arguing about something, and I stop it and tell you to continue elsewhere and you don't, then you must have just been arguing to get attention
