3. It's a QB site. It's for people to upload and leech QB works. He visited the site.

4. He didnt delete it because it didnt break any forum rules. Had he done it this would have been much worse than the crap he posted. Spam, as defined in rule #4, doesnt fit this thread because it wasnt excessive nor of a commercial nature. It was also posted in the appropriate section (General), although this should be news, since it offers a service, and isnt propaganda like other threads in the News section.

If we should go by that then Oracle shouldn't be an admin, cause he's advertising QBNZ, and Dav (example, no pun) shouldn't be allowed to post about his site, (being hosted at QBNZ?)

Small difference: I haven't advertised QBNZ for ages here, and you all know it. When Dav's site opened at QBNZ, he posted news, and it was news. And in fact, this thread is really news as well, as I've said above now I realise this. Please accept my apologies for the post, all of you. I get stuff wrong, and you guys know this. Well now I'm sorry, but at the moment I have a very busy life. Yesterday I got on here for about 20 minutes in a rush, had a look around, posted in this thread, and left. It's not my fault if you've got time to sit here moaning about me. I do get long spells here every now and then, but a lot of the time I won't. I've only just got on now to see what you guys have posted! If I had been on for another 10 minutes yesterday maybe the problem could have been solved, but the fact is, I wasn't. I'm sorry, but there's not much I can do about that.

Once again to all, I'm sorry. I'm in a rush sometimes, and sometimes I make mistakes. Please don't read too much into it. I know I'm not that popular around here, but I'm trying my best to help. I must admit that was the main thing that annoyed me, I generally under the opinion unless they do some pretty serious admins should always be shown respect. I'm use to places where people respect the admin's are always respected by other members wether or not other members agree with what they do. Although I would agree that I my post was a bit unreasoned in place.

From my point of view, an admin is just as human as the users. The admin just has the ability and responsibility to keep things under control according to the rules of the forum, provided the rules fall under the Human Rights Declaration. What is NOT okay is when an admin allows this power to go to their head and starts using it to fulfill their personal ego and their own agendas. Whether or not the admin should be respected or not is directly related to the actions that they carry out. From my standpoint...as many people have already learned, I respect NO ONE simply because I "have to". I refuse to respect someone "even if they have no respect in return". Sorry, but respect is give-and-take. It's not a one-way street. I have respect for many people, and in return, they all have respect for me, and that's the way it goes. When someone disrespects me, they lose my respect immediately. It's that simple.

I don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but...isn't it strange that oracle is always the butt end of these conflicts? Where are the other admins? Is it the case that oracle is being used as an attack dog because he's the newest, and at the same time, getting the blunt end of the punishment? Sure, make the new guy take all the heat...great plan. Or...it could be that the other admins have no time for doing their job around here, so oracle is the one who has to pick up the slack since he is online the most. I mean...why bother admining the forum when you know someone else is already going to do it...right? Right?

From what I have seen at least this is the case. One I noticed was the way someone called him tight fisted with mod priveleges(nathan I THINK), well I can cleary remember reading something along the lines of I am glad I didn't let this guy(ie seph) become admin like you lot wanted, although thta was not exact wording, when he posted a link to him saying on a 'popular website' don't be a dew drink dew. Well thats pretty offensive, and I suspect that he saw that seph was the type of person to do something like this. Beleive or not their are people who can spot certain subtle things about people personality and I think oracle may well be one(I also have this ability to an extent). Frankly to me oracle seems like a nice person in reality and I am going to look through old threads to check this,

A lot of the reasons that people see oracle as tight-fisted with the mod powers is because many of the old issues had never been resolved. Some had, some hadn't. So people are going to see things the same now as they were back then. It's human nature. If issues had been resolved properly, then things would be seen differently now. But since they were not, the same ghosts of the past will haunt whoever's involved. However, without oracle's presence here, I have a feeling that QBN would degenerate into a babbling mess of stupid asses and immature script kiddies. So it's pretty much a balance. Of course...accepting the role of admin automatically makes you the target of attack when differences of opinion come up over admin action on a moderated forum. It simply comes with the territory. Anyone not cut out to handle it crumples almost immediately. The fact that oracle's still here says something about his ability to deal with the pressure...don't you think?
