I've taken a lot of flack for it too, but Mladen and I both think it's great... anyhow, there's a new d/l that features a whole whack of bug-fixes and minor improvements plus a new map (ice planet), and a new powerup:

Oh my gosh... the game is so awesome. I love playing it and will probably whoop up on my roommate. Anyways.. you called it Empyrean here, but is it gonna be Empyrian like it says on the page? I'm guessing we'll know what it means when the backstory and stuff is all written as well. Also.. are you guys actively looking for sponsors and such (like it says on the page) and if so, how are you doing it/how much money will you get (unless that's not what you mean)/how will they play into the game?

Everyone says it sounds like the name of the next Everquest expansion or something, not a battling game... whatever. We thought the definition was pretty neat, and it sounds okay.

We're not actually looking for real sponsors. That's just part of the compsci assignment... We're going to make up a bunch of banner ads to put in advertising fictitious companies. (kind of like in Deathrow) Heck, we could advertise QBNews in it... heh heh.

EDIT: And that spelling discrepency has been fixed.

That's odd. Although I know several other XP computers that this doesn't work on... and a few that it does. I'm not sure what determines it. I just assumed that the emulator had to be installed or something. (don't personally own XP, don't want it -- 98 is perfectly suited to my needs)

It's included in some earlier downloads. But I've stopped including that and the source just for the sake of size. That d/l is ~650k, whereas with all the source and stuff it's over a meg.

This is an older version of the game, but it includes the editor (earmarke.exe) and the sprite library maker. (spriter.exe) Both have a help screen -- press F1.
