XBL sweet basketball game

Thing is, we dont have a huge amount of tolerance for people who make absurd claims (Xeko, anybody?), people who post with childish, unreadable english, and people who troll.

Now Im not saying Hardeep trolled, but he certainly posted abusrd claims, and he writes in illegible child like writing.

Everyone but you seems to agree on this. I dont think we should give him a break, because he was just taught a valuable lesson in the "real" world.

The thing is KiZ, the OP may be ignorant of what it takes to get a team together, but that just makes his post uninformed. On the other hand, I consider most of the responses to the OP very much childish indeed.

What can I say, I guess I'm just a nice guy.

Super. I guess my definition of teaching differs from yours. Just remember, the real world doesn't really like people like that. Just a heads up.

This guy wouldnt walk into a game development company's office and throw a half baked, over aimbitious plan at them, with little or no experience of his own, and hope they would do anything but tell him politely to leave. Does just because it is easier to do this kind of thing on the internet make it better?

And besides, I have better things to do with my time then spend 3 times longer than I should reading a post just because the author didnt take the care to correct many atrocious spelling and grammer mistakes.

Although some inner part of me wants to take this guy apart like they did to vipejc over a GDNet (they don't do that anymore), I'm going to have to side with Stylin for the most part. While the guy does need a lesson in planning, preparation, and the Real World, I don't think it was the gentlest way to go about it. In fact, it's quite harsh. I agree that sometimes being harsh is the only way to have an effect on somebody. However, I don't think it was really necessary here.

If he goes over to GDNet, he'll get bashed less, but his rating will most likely go down. That rating is a very handy thing for a forum... it keeps it's members in line.

Thats all I really have to say.
Maybe people should read over this topic again.

Really, I dont see any post that went way out of hand. We've had worse.. far worse..

And he wont get bashed less on GDNet. Like I said, read over the topic again, and point out where people went way out of line.

Note that he called cha0s an idiot, just because cha0s made an allegory. Not a clever move I must say, especially when you're trying to come across as innocent person looking for help on the best project ever.

I wouldn't even necessarily say that. Moderators have been cracking down on people down rating others without a valid reason.

Agreed. Unfortunately, the user-base in this community is much too small for a ratings system to be effective, IMO. But, I digress.

Sure, why not? It's been awhile since I've worked on something online.
