FLU POLL... sort of..
#51
Very allergic...even the simplest of molds can cause major problems just by breathing the air around it. Sad
I'd knock on wood, but my desk is particle board.

Rhia: The Chinese used it in moderation, and it caused no problems, like I said before. Then the modern doctors came a long, crammed tons of it into one thing, stuffed it down people's throats like we're lab rats, and then they go smiling, saying it's dangerous and should be pulled off the market.

Actually, you need to shift the blame on the companies that manufacture these herbs. According to current FDA regulations, a pharmacutical has to prove their drug is safe before being able to release it (this is why these drugs are expensive, and have a 5-10 patent, in order to recouperate research costs, which can ascend into the millions). A herb or naturalistic or whatever you wanna call it manufacturer is allowed to release their product into the market as long as they put a label on the bottle that says that "these statements are not approved or tested by the FDA". The FDA has to prove the substance is unsafe before being able to pull these types of products off the market. Doctors usually do not endorse these products, or may use them in conjuction with other things, depending on the type of doctor/speciality etc.

Rhia: I haven't had much expirience with doctors, so I guess you would know better than me.
But again, I can name at least 3 people that were given medicine by doctors, without being told what it could cause. And one of those people, Zichrono LeBracha, may his memory be for a blessing, like I mentioned before, died from it. It doesn't put a lot of trust or weight in the western medicine system.
Although, like everything, in all, there are many good aspects of it.
