What good art programs are out there that are much better then MSPaint?
I want to be able to make images close to this...
(I stole it from someone... hope there not going to come after me... :wink: )
Any help will be much appertiated

Man, for that image you need 3D Studio, Photoshop, lots of plugins, and 10 years of training.

Seriously, man, no free software can beat the commercial graphics programs currently.
An linux phreaks, don't say "Gimp" even compares to Photoshop. 'cause it doesn't

Seriously, you could try GIMP. It may not stand up to Photoshop but for a beginner its quite good =).

if you want something to make something like that, you can use LView Pro ++. ask zack about it, its simplistic yet gives good results. you can download the trial version at lview.com i think.

I am not saying that Gimp is bad. You can create great stuff with it, but Photoshop is easier to use and is way more supported (more third party pluggins) and by all means faster and more powerful. But that's my opinion...
And I've tried Gimp for windows and it is far too unstable
