Noone ever forced anyone to change. If you think people are forced into using FB, you're pretty wrong.

FB is superior to QB, end of story, that's just how it is.

Some people still like to code in QB, that's fine, noone is telling them not to.
That doesent change the fact that FB is still superior.

People who say QB is better than FB, QB is easier than FB, or simillar, are corrected.

FB beats QB any day..

Many people like to live in a status-quo world, where few things change. That's the way they like it. In fact, all people like a lot of things to stay unchanged, but, not all things!

Some people like to live in a constantly-changing world, where the cutting edge is "the place to be". Of course, they still don't want everything to change.

Since there are both kinds of people, plus a bunch of in-betweens in our real world, I say that we must accept that fact, and try to be at peace with all.

One thing: if it weren't for the people on the cutting edge, we would be living in a very bad world, probably back in the stone edge, or thereabouts. So, I applaud all leaders in new technology.

But, we must also applaud the many members of the status-quo group, who, by using the cutting-edge products, do help support the leaders in their constant quest for new knowledge!

The reason I can easily accept to stick with the old QB(X)/VBDOS is the maintenance of old BASIC applications - or when you don't have time (or the will) to learn something new.

I think that QBers who feel oppresed and threatened by FBers are not very self-confident, so they have to reaffirm themselves by attacking us claiming that we attack them - kinda stupid, IMHO.

You use QB, that's fine. You find application for it, that's fine. You are working with old hardware or coding for an embeded system, that's fine. You are maintaining old software running in MSDOS, that's fine.

What's kinda pointless is making a QB game which uses SVGA, Sound Blaster sound and EMS 'cause it will only work in your computer. Most modern cards don't like VESA, most modern computers are not compatible with a ISA Sound Blaster, most modern computers are completely uncompatible with EMS no matter which OS they are running. That's just a matter of intelligence. If you code games for yourself, that's fine. If you pretend people to play your games, at least compile them in a fucking portable compiler.

The only reason I was arguing is because you (read: macric) claimed to know names of people who had left because they were told to use FB for the things they wanted to do.
As you failed to produce even one name, I consider you a troll. And don't bother finding a name now, I no longer care anyways..
